Welcome to the beta pre-launch of Social Issues.com as we examine the impact of various public concerns and how they shape our communities, affect society and ultimately impact our democracy as a whole. This new service intends to explore multi-faceted positions that create the "frame work" of what makes a social issue; all of which are of vital importance particularly during an Presidential election year.
We intend to monitor on-going issue developments, track key legislation and news story trends all in the effort to relay this information directly to you via the Social Issues e-journal and special published reports. Also you can sign-up for our free issue alert newsletter service.
We are actively tracking hundreds of organizations that are involved with influencing legislation and shaping public perception towards selected societal concerns.
This service was developed to create new channels of awareness, spark discussions while giving free access for public organizations to post their information. We invite your participation. In addition to providing news on social issues we are compiling the nation's most extensive database of community based coalitions, active citizen groups and advocacy outreach organizations. By summer we plan to offer the media and key attendees at both major political conventions a free CD ROM media guide to social issues complete with position papers and contact information that will give reporters added capabilities to do their research. On a weekly basis we will present key issues and create on-line discussions and debates in our forums all in the effort to better examine and understand our evolving social issue concerns.
Social Issues Newswire offers organizations FREE press release and article posting on related topics as a community service. Get the attention of a wider public and reach niche specific media interested in your story through our newswire service. Click here to enable your ability to post on this alternative PR tool today. Have your organization listed in our free on-line directory in any case.
In the presentation of our beta-launch (we'll officially be up and running full speed at the two major political party conventions as we prepare for mega hits during the fall elections), we intend to roll out the various issues in a fashion that is representative of current interests and what we perceive to be the "Social Issue" of the week as emphasized through the media.
We do this so that we all might be better able to address the inequities and problems of today's world, in ways that are meaningful and fair to all.
SOCIAL ISSUES intends to combine the best elements of what an academic research journal might offer, with modern sensibility and the flair of a quick read format in the style of a hip interactive website. Launching this week, our online journal confronts the first of an on-going series of social issue examinations. Feel free to participate in our on-line forums, discussions and blog postings. We encourage you to participate and tell your friends about us.
As we bring together the latest research, policy opinion and articles we intend too examine all aspects of social issues and look into these areas with critical detail towards legislation and institutional conduct. Our goal is to examine every angle to find manageable possibilities for solution oriented progress.
We want your feedback and seek contributors to debate with us the decisions we make today, and how they will impact generations in the future. Whether or not you are a Republican, Democrat, Independent or staunchly Undecided we hope you will find something of interest. Something titillating enough to your social senses to warrant regular investigation of our website. Whether your aim is to advance new social theories or to identify serious issues and analyze them, we encourage your taking a role and becoming a member of the Social Issues family. Please tell your friends and associates by emailing them our link today. Thank you.
Please participate in our forums. Where you will find many article postings about our beta-launch theme Media & Democracy. Also you can email us at Info@SocialIssues.com.
